Philosophy Reaches Further than Science
The role of science is factual, empirical, provable. However, of the infinite knowledge about all nature (eg, molecules, cells, life, reproduction, chemistry, communication between plants, trees or our 37 trillion cells), what percent is known? We cannot calculate a fraction of an unknown quantity. How much can science grasp?
Those who refuse to enter the realm of philosophy, the invisible, and the spiritual, are greatly handicapping their realm of knowledge to that microscopic fraction.
The reality of Nature is too extremely advanced to NOT philosophize. Philosophy (love of wisdom) dares to go where science cannot reach. Philosophy asks about the purpose of man, the soul, love, relationships, values, and how we gained the ability to reason.
Reverse Engineering
In strictly science, there is not a single organism man can reverse engineer. In case you are unfamiliar with "reverse engineering" it is a type of technical plagiarism or copying someone else's work. Instead of conceiving of an idea, inventing the parts and engineering to construct a process or thing you walk it backwards.
Often in the technical industry when losing market share due to the creative inventions of a competitor, technicians are assigned to disassemble the working technology and analyze it in order to build their own version and remain competitive
Cell Phones and Intellectual Property
The theft of intellectual property is a profession all over the world. “If you can’t beat them, copy them” would be an appropriate motto. Cell phone companies try to get ahead of the competition with new ideas, and if your company is behind, your reverse engineering experts disassemble the competitors new phone to figure how they made the new “thing” and add it to their next model.
Photosynthesis
We have all learned in elementary school how photosynthesis works.
But in reality, science only EXPLAINED photosynthesis, but never understood it well enough to reverse engineer. We have plastic and silk leaves, but none that perform this common process in living leaves.
In fact, throughout nature, I cannot think of a single living thing; plant or animal, that scientists have been able to reverse engineer.
We cannot reverse engineer millions of nature’s secrets even though they are under our microscope.
Patenting God’s Inventions
Since we cannot reverse engineer nature’s technology, sometimes science or medicine tries to manipulate it to go the direction it wants. Blood or organ transplants is an admission we cannot make those things. We try to implant stem cells to do their work because we have no idea how to make a stem cell or what stem cells are able to build.
I read that scientists have decoded human DNA's 3 billion base pairs. None of this is random and more than a solved puzzle. It is communication and also self-preserving and self-repairing. Now that it is "decoded" can we read it? Hardly. Like photosynthesis, if we truly could read and understand decoded DNA, we might build humans. There is no hope of that but maybe manipulating DNA to work for us is a possibility. That’s scary.
I recognize the marvel of God’s work represented in man’s mind. I turn off my smart phone while flying across the ocean in a jet that weighs more than 300,000 pounds (136,000 kg), but the same human species cannot make a single blade of living grass.
Not Even Close
We cannot build a single living cell
We cannot squeeze 6 feet of DNA into our 37 trillion human cells (as you have at this very moment)
We cannot make anything reproduce itself
We are smart but need to stay humble in the presence of God's immeasurably superior power and genius.
From one of my songs:
“Maker of earth, inventor of birth, designer of eyes, giving the light.
Holding the sun among the stars, all that You’ve done we could never see that far.”
Final Thought
Think about this theory taught around the world:
Nature’s technologies beyond the grasp of man’s mind is proof it did not require intelligence because man is the supreme intelligence. So, if man didn’t make it, no one did.
Accidents are smarter than intelligence? That’s evolution for ya.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20
Very compelling arguments, Sam!
“Hope Remains” watercolor by Myra Alibrando
To my good friend Myra, your watercolor painting “Hope Remains” is truly radiant and full of life! The way you've captured the warmth of the sunset reflecting off the winding stream is absolutely mesmerizing. The glowing orange and yellow hues of the setting sun beautifully contrast with the rich greens of the landscape, creating a sense of harmony and balance. It feels like a perfect moment in nature, full of peace and promise.
The trees on the left, with their varied shades of green and hints of autumn colors, add depth and texture, giving the scene a feeling of both transition and stability. The way the sky transitions from soft blue to vibrant purples and oranges is stunning, it evokes such a powerful sense of time passing and the beauty of the day coming to an end. The light reflecting off the water gives the painting a magical quality, as if the stream itself is carrying the light forward.
Your use of color and light creates a sense of hope, as the title suggests. This piece speaks to the resilience of nature and the beauty that remains, even in the quietest moments. It’s uplifting and inspiring, and I can’t help but feel a sense of calm when looking at it.
Keep painting, Myra! Your ability to capture both the grandeur and the peace of nature is a gift. As Maya Angelou once said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Your creativity shines brightly, keep sharing it with the world!
